For every hour a provider spends assisting a recipient, the provider is entitled to the above IHSS wages in 2021, based on the California county of residence. For example, if a mother in Orange County is the primary provider for her son, who qualifies for 283 hours per month of IHSS protective supervision, then the mother would be entitled to $4,103.50 per month (283 x $14.5) in 2021. Similarly, if that family moved from Orange County to San Francisco County and the son still qualified for 283 hours of IHSS, then his mother would be entitled to $4,952.20 per month (283 x $17.50).
